Typically light in color but still very vibrant. Nose is floral, though some spicy cedar notes emerge both in the smell and taste. Poured into a decanter. First hour was somewhat reserved. Hour 2, now we're talking! This wine become integrated and expressive with tons of depth and complexity, yet subtle and classy. A lot of concentrated fruits showing insane complexity. Powerful yet pure finesse This is marvelous. One of my favorite and best showing 2013s along with Bertheau's most excellent Bonnes Mares. If you can find this wine, grab it! A relative value considering other domaines. This exquisite Les Amoureuses can be enjoyed now with some aeration, or will probably be even better in a couple of years. 95+

I don't drink much Bertheau (or Amoureuses for that matter) but this was showing beautifully. Musky, succulent red fruits, a bead of '13 acidity, some spice. I think this will cohere beautifully in the next few years.

This is lovely. Pale rim around a dusky rose core, with aromas of red currents, caramel, nutmeg, pecans, musk. Delicious on the palate with tart-ripe fruit framed against a mineral backdrop and very soft tannins. I think this is mature and scored it 92 now, but it could merit 93 in a few years if the nose continues to evolve. I’m not sure I will wait to see.

Nose initially gave away it was 13 because of the slightly tight, cool and astringent character. After some time in decanter it opened very nicely, quite a complex profile already.
