Opened for 3 hours. Color is a brick red. On the nose: Plum and vanilla. On the palate : Plum, cassis, sour cherry, vanilla and a little dark chocolate. Good acidity. Solid wine.

Darker translucent ruby in the glass; effusively fruity nose - black & red fruit.
Seamless on the palate, with nice acidity to frame the fruit - decent persistence on the finish. Just had this with a chicken breast done up with pesto, bruschetta and provolone cheese and it proved to be a good match.

Stridently acidic, it needs food to show its complexity. If it is to be taken on its own, a few hours outside the bottle is highly recommended.
