The first premier cru clos south of Nuit St George - Rue de Chaux. Opened at home. Too old. Initial promise, of what must have been a fine wine, with a sweet, berry laden nose, but rather thin in the mouth missing tannins and then, after a few hours, souring on the way towards vinegar. By next morning undrinkable. Reminds me not to expect durability from a Burgundy as I would from a Bordeaux.
