Opened and poured. Full bodied deep colored, showing some smoothness with dark reds and blacks. Similar to many Turley's, perhaps my tastes are changing as many of them seem similar. Good, but lacking some character.

Pretty nose with sour cherries galore, red fruits and a very subtle sanguine note that some will taste as mineral. I noted a very lively touch of zesty acid that almost suggested citric acid but could have been a bit of carbon dioxide dissolved in the wine (carbonic acid), though I noticed no bubbles on the interior walls of the glass. Could be at peak, but my experience with Turley Zins doesn't go much before the 2011 vintage. No signs of decline, and I feel this can go 3-4 more years before any possible decline. I'm unsure if the Turleys of this decade can age like the Ridge Zins of the 80's, 90's and 00's.

Had a bit of an annoying fizz that may have been a precursor to biological contamination. I wouldn’t keep it much longer. Very ripe but not pruned, otherwise.

Cranberry, saddle and ash with a nose of herb and ripe berry. Almost seemed to have a tiny bit of TCA.

Full but not overloaded with fruit. Complex. Cola, cherry, spice, chocolate, minerality. The nose is weaker than the taste.
