Burgundy villages: Showed similarities to the 2012 but with higher acid. I actually liked it a lot on pop and pour when it was more classic and palatable, but with air it became strangely more candied. Guessed 2012 NSG because of the earthiness and rusticity.

This is pretty similar to my prior bottle; its not bad, but it seems just a bit thin and a bit too acidic. There isn't much depth and while there is some tangy red fruit and floral notes and some definite game/sanguine notes, it doesn't give me too much else. Not sure I see this getting better.... my pairing tonight wasn't good, so next time I need to pair this with a dish that is rich and needs a bright acid driven wine.

First night: lots of cranberry, tart cherry, bright, slight herbal aspect per vintage, high acid, tangy tartness, but in general quite nice for village and for 13. 2nd night: rounded out, more fleshy, warm fruits, juicy and fruity but mellower and really nice and really improved from a night on the shelf (under gas).

Highly acidic. Very strange metallic aromas. Thin with no fruit.

Great nose with lots going on, nicely balanced, long finish. Tart, orange peel, note of bacon grease on finish.
