Totally delicious, full of blackberries and bitter chocolate and earth, silky and airy despite the concentration. Perhaps just a bit of warmth on the back end, but drinking beautifully.

Well settled sediment, decanted off. Light-medium ruby, slight bricking consistent with its age; high intensity aromatics, fabulous red fruit with some dusty spice, cinnamon, strawberry; palate is light bodied, nice textured mouthfeel, strawberry and red fruited, vibrant high acidity, low 12.5% alcohol; medium finish. A very lovely burgundy at this price point. Solid 91, drink up now.

Raspberry, orange rind, and violets on the charming nose. The palate is light to medium and bright, though it seems to have come into better balance than my previous bottle from 3 years ago. Tonight, there's plenty of fruit to balance the sometimes-racy 2002 acidity, and a nice bottle sweetness. There i still a frame of powdery tannin remaining, but the structure is mostly resolved. The finish is focused and moderately long on the mid-palate. To me, this is drinking at peak or even early peak. I think it will hold and continue to drink well for some years. Picture perfect Savigny Fournaux.

Decanted off settled sediment, light ruby/garnet, moderate bricking c/w age; high intensity aromatics, floral, strawberry, very pretty, some spice; palate is light bodied, elegant red fruits, high acidity, low integrated tannins, balanced 12.5% low alcohol, lacks a bit of persistence into the finish; medium-minus finish. A fantastic burgundy value, though its price has increased substantially since release. 91, not quite up to my memory of my first bottle. Ready to drink in the next few years.

Decanted off 2oz of fine sediment. Light ruby, age-appropriate bricking; aromatic, red berries, strawberries, forest floor; palate is light bodied, low but present tannins, medium-plus acidity, 12.5% low alcohol, plenty of primary red fruit, persistent through the midpalate; finish is medium length. Maybe a bit less complex and immediately striking than my last few bottles, but enjoyable nonetheless. Certainly ready to drink now but showing no signs of tiring and could easily go a few more years. 90-91
