Audozed two hours, served non-blind. This has moved well beyond the modern leanings of its youth and is now quite balanced. Dark red cherries predominate, with plenty of Tuscan dust, some leather and dried herbs, etc. It's med>med+ bodied with good acidity and about the level of freshness I was expecting. I hadn't planned on opening this quite yet, but I knew it would be a hit at a dinner party I attended, and it was. I'd say it's about at/slightly past apogee and is likely to hold here another four to six years before beginning its decline. I see no reason to hold much longer. recommended
This wine is a very typical varietal Brunello. The nose has the tomato leaf element that I think is the best indicator for Brunello. The flavors are roasted tomato, cherry, and some oregano. The body is solid and the finish is long. This wine is just entering its drinking window. We decanted this bottle and gave it an hour, but it got better over the next hour that we drank it. It's drinking good now, and will likely stay that way for the next 15 years.

Beautiful cigar, sweet leather, rose, chocolate covered cherry cream candy. Still very good tannin structure and acidity that develops on the top of the tongue. There’s a lot of life left to this wine.

Getting there. Really nice tonight with grilled rib-eye.
