  My rating is CT91 but I gave it a 92 to help get the average to CT90. The acid backbone that was distracitng to overwhelming, along with some fruit imbalance in 2018, the last time I had this, when I’d have scored it 88.5, has now reduced and integrated with the tannins and fruit. This is ready to drink, though another year or two may improve it further. Strong value Brunello. Wish I had a case.

  Medium garnet, browning and fading edges. Ripe flavours of red cherry and blackberry, and bay leaves, dill, and fennel, then a good blast of cloves and nutmeg spices, leading to some bitter liquorice towards the back. Medium length
