  • This bottle was more developed, smooth tannin, silky mouthfeel, warn fruit but not stewed, not hot. Low to medium acidity, just barely enough. This is well made and entering a good spot.

  • Söndagsmiddag med klassisk italienskt mama cuisine och en stänkare till spanjor som köptes in för en spottstyver på auktion. Kostar fortfarande billigt i Europa.

  • Nice Tinta de Toro here, drinking well now. Dark fruit, like plum and black cherry. Some leather and licorice. Almost reminiscent of an Oregon Pinot in some ways. Hold or drink.

  • Needs 3-5 more years in bottle. Very good now.

  • Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of deep ruby colour, with brownish rims and legs.
Nose: Clean, with medium (+) intensity aromas of black fruit of blackberry and dark cherries, red fruit of plum, dried fruit of prune, mineral notes of earth, oak notes of vanilla and toast, sweet spice of nutmeg. The wine is developing.
Palate: Dry with medium acidity, the wine has high tannin of ripe and dusty texture, with medium (+) alcohol, full body and medium (+) intensity flavours of black fruit of blackberry and dark cherries, dried fruit of prune, oak notes of toast, mineral notes of earth. The wine has a medium (+) finish.
Conclusion: Very good quality Toro with intense aromas of good complexity, with a range of ripe black fruit characters, good oaky notes coming from the use of the new barrels, plus some earthy tone and sweet spice. On the palate it has decent acidity, powerful and well-structured, with good concentration of flavors and a fairly long finish. It is ready to drink now and can benefit from further ageing of another 3-5 years.
