Nose: slightly stewed dark berries and vanilla Overall: dense plum color, bold tannins, dark berry fruit forward. Needs substantial food in my opinion such as steak, potatoes and roasted veggies. Maybe a flatbread apppetizer too since it becomes very delicious, easy drinking and smooth as it opens up.

Beautifully lifted bouquet of dark fruit, cassis, cedar, and licorice exhibit a hint of sweetness. Plump, full bodied, with an excellent backbone, and a succulent core of black cherry flavors. Its flavor and aromatic profile shuffles between purity, freshness, and bottle age maturity, gaining structural depth and complexity as the night wears on. Outstanding.

Enjoyed at a birthday dinner party. Showed much better than it did two years ago. I’m finding these 2012 Napa Cabs seem to have shedded the “baby fat” of excessive fruit and settled into much better balanced wines. Fruit, tannin and acid all well integrated. Perfect with the grilled, medium rare steaks.

Not my favorite, little sweet and light for my taste. Really thought I would like since it is spring mountain. Just think it comes off a little watery and misses the mark

Most balanced bottle of Juslyn I have tasted. Nicely integrated tannins. Black and blue fruit with plenty of depth.
