Popped and poured. Excellent. Black and blue fruit. Medium to full bodied. Terrific nose. Black cherry, herbs and spice. Layered, pure with good length. Watch this develop more complexity in the coming years.

Popped and poured. This is fantastic. Outstanding cool floral nose. Medium bodied but grand cru depth. Black and red cherry, tea, garrique, and a little spice. Early maturity with lively fruit, good freshness but largely resolved tannin. This is entering an attractive drinking window over the next five years.

Bourgogne 2002 horisontal Grand and 1. cru winetasting dinner (20 btls) (Nordsjaelland): This is an outstanding wine. Almost unbelievable fruity/fresh cherry and red currant (I would not believe it is 21 years old). Extremely soft and delicious on the palate. High acidity, medium tannins and long finish. Can drink now but without doubt also develop further in the cellar. The best 2002 of the evening. 95+

Similar to my last note, the nose is the highlight right now. Nose of red fruit and earth right out of the bottle but the wine needs a few hours to really show its best. Drinkable now with enough air but I think this will continue to improve and has the structure to go a while. A-
