Nose of dark fruit, licorice and an edge of spice.
Full bodied wine with rounding acidity. Palate of fig jam, tobacco, and a notion of powdered baking chocolate. Sandy tacky tannins with blackberry and burnt vanilla notes. Peppery edge and a lingering chewy finish of dark fruit and hints of savory spice on the finish.
Earthy wine but not quite the elevation of the otherwise nice descriptors. This is a wine in need of the right food to elevate it.

The nose is seductive. Lindt milk chocolate, damson, blackberry. The attack is creamy and assertive. The mid palate is dense, and the finish is just a touch drying, perhaps the highish alcohol (14.5%) and new oak. Overall, however, one of the better 2014s from this Saint Emilion series.

With floral, cherry and plum scents in the nose, this medium-bodied, velvety textured wine delivers licorice and sweet, cherries in an open finish. 89-90

Incredibly seductive nose, palate pretty good but will give it another five years before trying again.
