Ripe red fruit and some blue fruit on the nose, mostly raspberry and cherry notes with a hint of green/stemminess and oak. On the palate it is medium body, moderate acidity, and medium tannin. The finish is a bit thin given the alc of 14.5. It’s not super complex or deep at the moment but it may offer more with more bottle age. That’s not to say it isn’t enjoyable now and at $40 it’s perfectly fine. Try again in a couple of years.

Loads of fresh picked flowers, perfectly ripe, red and black cherries, fresh herbs and tints of cocoa are all over the place here, on the nose and palate. Blending silky-textures, freshness, and layers of elegant, red fruits with nuances of cocoa, licorice and spice in the background, this is going to be just great with a year or two of cellaring. Drink from 2024-2036.

93 vvPunkte (85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec, 14.5%, verkostet im Dezember 2021 in Windisch). Dichtes Rubin. Langer, dunkelfruchtiger Abgang. Ein Klasse-Wein mit sehr guten Reserven. 2026-2040+. vvWine.ch

St.Emilion Grand Cru Classée values tasting: The 2019 and 2020 side by side felt both rich and extracted, lots of blue fruit, 14.5% Alc. on the heavy side.
