Nose of honeysuckle and anise. Very light body, good minerality and abundant tropical fruit on the finish. A perfect summer wine at 12% alcohol. Recommended

from 80 yr old vines. flowery and nutty with a slight bitterness. big mouthfeel, round but with god acidity. some less integrated alcohol in finish. good for a creamy mushroom dish.

Interesting wine, I think chasselas is a regional grape which I had not heard of before. I would say it is a combination of viogner and sauvignon blanc. Pail yellow in color. On the nose, a distinctive GruV mimic, oil and floral notes with maybe some fig. Decent zing of acidity. Some herbal grassiness with a little GruV oilyness. Also some cantelope in there. Decent finish, about 30 seconds or more. I looked it up and it is grown primarily in Switzerland, France, Germany, Turkey and New Zealand and recent research indicates it might be clonally related to GruV. I guess my impressions were about right.

Nice dry wine with balanced minerality. Had with sushi and sashimi at Nafisseh and Hans' place.
