  • An elegant perfume with violets and a pure taste. I think the wine needs more aeration to give the backbone the opportunity to cope with the modest sweetness in the wine.

  • Too sweet for my taste the first day, better on day two. The bitters in the aftertaste give than a certain compensation.

  • Young, fresh and tasty, in the bouquet some fatness; showing its youth with the sour and sweet not completely integrated. You better wait a year with this wine.

  • This is the first time I'm tasting Alsatian Chasselas.

Very pale, almost whitish yellow color. Quite ripe, sweet and tropical nose with aromas of apricots, nectarine, some pienapple, a little bit of apple jam and a hint of quince. The wine is medium-bodied, but quite broad and round on the palate with rather modest acidity - most of the freshness seems to come from the slight dose of CO2. Although dry, there are pretty ripe flavors of peach-driven yellow stone fruits, sweet red apple, some quince, a little bit of apple jam and a hint of juicy apricot. The wine doesn't feel particularly heavy or ponderous despite the rather low acidity, but the mouthfeel is quite rich and oily. The finish is very rich, sweet and fruity with ripe flavors of apple jam, nectarine, some quince, a little bit of cantaloupe and a hint of white peach.

A ncie, rich and fruity Alsatian white that suffers a little bit from the quite modest acidity. The wine feels bright and fresh for a short while, but once the CO2 dissipates, the wine loses much of its brightness and energy. Flavor-wise this is quite nice - there is a lot of depth and intensity to the fruit, but the fruit never once gets too big or ponderous. Overall it feels like this wine could've been somewhat better with higher acidity; it is pretty nice as it is, but you just feel like the wine could use a bit more energy. Needs to be served pretty cool, just to push the acidity a bit more to the fore, and paired with food that would emphasize the acidity here a bit more. Good value at only 8,50€.
