God frukt og myke taniner, noe høy syre som dempes med luft. Flasken kan med fordel åpnes dagen før og kose seg i kjelleren før den dekanteres noen timer før mat.

Merlot dominant, likely drinking at its peak. Rounded with barely perceptible tannins. Paired very nicely by Damien Barton for the locally sourced shrimp and vegetable starter. Served blind and a pleasant surprise when revealed.

Very pleasant tipple. Unfortunately, it's been a few months since I finished the case, so the details escape me! But I do remember that there was a significant variation between the best of the 12 bottles and the worst.

Roses, red fruit, marrow, and smoke comprise the medium-intensity nose. Round, minerally palate, the tannin already integrated. This is probably near its apogee now.
A formal score deferred as this was sent in a small bottle, but at least in the 88-89 range

OenoMacrowine conference gala dinner at Château Luchey-Halde (Château Luchey-Halde, Mérignac, Bordeaux, France): Medium ruby, hint of brick. Cassis/blackcurrant, blackberry. Red and black plum. Rosehip. Cranberry, strawberry. Leather, earth. Cedar, sweet spice. Medium(+) acidity, fine grained medium tannins. Has aged very nicely and is drinking very well.
