Yes, this is drinking very well indeed. Blueberry and blackcurrant aromas and tastes, perfectly balanced, with just enough backbone to ensure another five years of pleasure, maybe more. Nothing out of place, no excessive ripeness nor oak, just a lot of fun. Yum!

I don't normally buy second wines and I discovered this one when I bought some 2010 by accident. It's really very good. This was my first wine post-Covid:
The first sniff was itself a revelation - fruit! Hooray! Very ripe notes of blueberry, blackcurrant and damson plums - if there was any oak, I didn't smell it. In the mouth - much the same - the blueberry hit first, making my tongue tingle - that would have been enough for me - but then the blackcurrant struck home, followed by some very dark cherry and a rising sensation as the damson plums took over, finishing with a cool, elegant finale. Delicious.
It was just wonderful. I have no doubt that my impressions are wide of the mark - the wine will probably taste less stupendous when all is back to normal but hell, it just made me feel really, really happy.

Nice wine. Well balanced, fine tannin, good acidity. Rich, ripe red & black fruits on the palate suggest potential flabbiness to come, yet such thoughts are quickly dismissed on the med/Long finish.

Well structured, good Pessac Léognan but nothing exceptional.
Very classical, not much opened and expressive.

A bit too acid for my taste, very fine tanins. I hope it improves with time but I’m not that confident. Let’s check again next year
