Exceptional quality for this second wine. 2015 is an excellent year in Bordeaux. A lot of depth, complexity. The wine is juicy, with raspberry and plums on palate. Silky and expressive tanins. Could still improve over a few years. Exceptional QPR at only 16€!

Nice second wine, velvety, nice red fruit and acidity. Medium finish, overall delicious and drinking perfectly right now. Went very well with a NY strip and a baked potato.

Still very young, even after a long decant this was quite tannic and thick. Much more "classic" than previous vintages, more strait-laced, less exotic. Enticing notes of sweet cassis and herbs, quite a full-bodied mouthful of earthy cassis and redcurrant, the finish is good but will clearly improve. The most impressive Réserve de Malartic I've had, this has got a long future ahead - it needs a few more years in the cellar. As second wines go, this is one of the best IMO, in that it compares favourably with Crus Bourgeois at the same price. I cannot see the point of paying 30-50 euros for what is ultimately just a second-rate wine, but at 18€, why not?

Prince Saturday Tasting - Bordeaux (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): Quite meaty and savoury initially, chalky minerality, plums over black hued fruit, a little sweet spice. Juicy, fleshy, plummy, slightly chalky tannins are a little drying. Wetly pleasing. Rather nice.

Smells classic and spot on, but on the nose and the palate.
