  • The color is light straw yellow.

The scent has nice notes of, crushed / slightly decayed apples and fresh apples, red grape, white peaches, a little honey melon, fresh citrus, tropical fruit / kiwi, pineapple, mango, wet iron, whitewashed white dust, nice tone of petroleum is present and a nice cool sweetness.

The taste is a really nice mix of the aroma, with a nice hint of raspberries and especially pineapple and subdued citrus is promoted.
The sweetness is in a way gentle and pleasant and does not take focus from the fruit, but embraces it.

The acid is irresistibly fresh and causes the mouthwash to spring up in cascades and stays on the gums for quite a long time

  • Meh. Tastes like average Mosel spatlese with its sweetish green apple flavors. Simple with not much intensity or complexity. My first bottle from Julian Haart, and I was left wanting more.

  • I would like to write only the word outstanding.
So fragrent, but so complete and delicious. Slate, citrus, yellow fruits and some flowers, but the whine is above every single ingrident.
Havent ever tasted a greater Spätlese despite drinking Prüm because this wine doesen't need time to be ready. For sure, this Schubertslay will develope, but this seems to be complete at every stage.

  • 2014 from Julian Haart are sure things! This Schubertslay Spätlese is something to reckon, or maybe just dream about. The ol' power without weight phrase applies here. It has sweet citrus aromas and pretty, lovely aromas spice, tangerine peel, and hints of wet slate. Gosh, it just overwhelms the mouth with full ripe pungent sweet Dancy tangerine, and an excellent sweet, tart, succulent, swallow. Man I am enamored of the J Haart lineup every year!

  • I liked this best of the Riesling at the table (at the time). Crisp, clear with wonderful fruit - apples and peaches, florals and minerality. This isn't huge or weightless, but it's seamless, focused and delicious. No formal note but definitely in the 16-16.5/20 range.
