Deep garnet. Pronounced aromas of ripe and dried bramble, cassis, vanilla, clove, earth, smoke. Developing. Dry, medium acidity, high alcohol (14.5%), full body, medium (+) ripe tannins, pronounced flavours similar to the nose. Long finish. Since my last tasting 7 years ago, this has come together beautifully. The alcohol is now well integrated, the tannins have softened and tertiary flavours are much more to the fore. Outstanding. No need to hold any longer although there is no hurry to drink up.

Ridge zin with ten years bottle age is always great. This didn’t quite live up to the same high as the Lytton springs or the Pagani I recently opened, but still showed quite nicely. A little more power, and not quite as finessed, but never over the top.

PnP, aromatic with Black fruit, black cherry, pepper and tobacco. Similar flavors with the black fruit, pepper an tobacco dominating with light cedar. Smooth tannins in the long finish. Long life ahead.

Really smooth, very balanced and clearly well made.
Lots of dark fruit, oak is there but nicely integrated, it just feels so darn young and uncomplicated. This has plenty of life left and I think it will be much better in ten years time.

Decanted for approximately 45 minutes then an hour in the glass. A nose of dark fruit with hintsb9f cinnamon and clove. Full bodied with ample fruit still pushing forward, however, I found it to be overwhelmingly oaky. Pretty much an oak bomb. Well made with regard to balance of acidity, fruit and tannin but a bit disjointed with an overbearing oak profile for my palate. Perhaps a longer decant might remedy that with my next bottle. Drink up.
