Drinking well, still some cherry fruit on nose and palate, but now more secondary. Mushroom, tree bark, chocolate. Medium tannins, medium body, medium alcohol. Has aged well and still has a few more years yet I'd say. I have one left so will keep another couple of years.

Interesting one. Deep purple Color. A nose with some dried cherry but a lot of secondary and tertiary notes- mushroom, earth, forest floor, must, smoke, pepper. Med acidity, Med body, Med alcohol, Med flavor intensity, dry and chewy tannins, Med+ finish. The mouth is A bit more vived and fruity than the nose, decent structure and balance, a quite powerful Pinot noir, I quite like it but I think it is about time to drink this wine.

Really nice, needs a bit of time decanted for it to blossom. Very light, with a hint of tart alcohol - not a lot of tannin. I enjoyed it with baked salmon. Would buy again

90-92: well, at 8 years, I didn't think I'd be opening a baby, but this wine is barely entering maturity. It's tart, but not unripe. Fairly rich, it's much more generous than a comparable Burgundy, but it's not what I'd call modern, either. It's dry, layered, and perfect for food. Probably has another 3-5 years easy. This wine was not cellar kept, wish I had gotten a few more.

Terroir-istes International - France, Loire Cabernet Franc & a Pinot Noir (The Fat Butcher, Stellenbosch): (Tasted Blind): A mid-purple-red colour. Lovely fresh aromas of plum, savoury and gamey elements with some blackberry and spice. The palate is intense with notable acidity and fine-grained chalky texture. Grippy tannins to the end give a lovely length and are delicately weighted and well-balanced. Flavours of confectionary and blackberry preserve.
