I found this marked down to half price and given the nice reviews thought it was worth a shot. PNP. cork perfect. color is bricking, and nose is mature pinot. palate was mostly secondary but polished and rich. this had the spiciness and earthiness that blind I would have mistaken for Cristom. very nice, even if a bit premature I think from sitting on a retail shelf for how many years. properly cellared I would expect this to have some more time ahead, although other tasters suggest its ready to go. if I had some in the cellar I would consider checking in on it.

Last bottle of this wine, which I've had the opportunity to taste since 2010. Still primary ruby color. What struck me about the aromatics this time is the bacony char that accompanies the soil tones and black cherry. Medium weight, perhaps slightly fuller than one would prefer for Pinot, but certainly not heavy. Fine melange of ripe red fruit, earth, and the barest amount of green. Still some round tannins, but this is probably as good and as developed as it will ever be. Like a 70/30 blend of Old World (for its strong soil signature and complexity) and New World (for the concentration and sweeter fruit) Pinot. My preference would be less exaggerated cooperage, but it is excellent nonetheless.

Lighter style red wines: Smoked sausage, fat fire fried sausage on the nose. Sweeter than the previous wines, few tannins, friendly-fruity-light body, also a bit jammy on the palate. Interesting.

Rich colour; smart nose, polished, raspberries; supple, silky, refreshing acidity, soft tannins provide backbone & stuffing to age. Very enjoyable now & next 2+ years. Very long. (Decent match with salmon steaks).

Getting better and aromatically wider with a fine touch of barnyard developing. This will get better with time.
