Just a fantastic half bottle paired with duck in a cherry sauce. Beautifully balanced, a bit rustic. Great fruit I felt like I found a hidden gem in a restaurant at $60. Could easily have been a burgundy premiere Cru at 2X the price.

Can't recall having a Sancerre rouge before. This was quite good. Bright red fruits but with substance too. Blind I probably would have pegged this as something like a Pernand-Vergelesses or Pernand-Vergelesses 1er.

Purchased off the wine list at La Pomme d’Or, Sancerre. Medium ruby. Nose of black raspberry, plum, earth, damp cellar, hyacynthe. Measured authority and weight on the palate with layers of dark raspberry, earth, iodine, and hints of black currant. Moderate acidity and firm tannin leading to a longer finish of plum and black cherry cut with stone. A wine with hearty presence.

Red berry fruit on the nose, spices, herbs with some floral notes. On the palate minerality, pure red fruit, soft tannins, spicy finish. Very good. 89-91

No doubt this was really good value for money. Still has some good fresh fruit but fades quite quickly. I recommend drinking these up asap.
