  • The 73 Bouchard Clos de la Roche shows a winsome, sweet dried cherry, cinnamon, nutmeg, game, wood smoke nose. Though this is unlikely a completely natural phenomenon from a horrid year like 1973 (chaptalization, a little Rhone added, or both?), it's impossible not to be charmed. Supple, nutty palate. Utterly drinkable, particularly with the roasted pintade alongside, these should be consumed now.

  • Domain released in magnum format owc in pristine condition. Bottle breathed for 15 minutes and last for 2+ hrs. Berry, earth, vanilla and light mint and tea leaf. Wine gotten better at the end. Still some tannin and strength and likely last for another 3-5 yrs or more if in pristine conditions.
