Blueberry preserves, cherry jam, a little prune, sun dried tomato, diverse herbs, blue flowers... thick and tangy, layers of jammy fruit and a bright acid line, smooth and resolved tannins. Blue and black fruits and so many a herb and spice nuance on the characterful finish. Lovely Carignan!

Very deeply colored, purple ruby rim. Aromatically has moderate intensity, slightly rustic mixed berry/brambly fruit, earthy aromas, minerals, minimal oak influence. On the palate high acidity, full/broad/chunky on the mid palate, lots of firm/square tannins, moderate alcohol. Very well balanced wine with good length, ok intensity, good complexity. I loved this wine... great to see a distinctive varietal that is grown in the new world that isn't overdone to the point you have no idea what the varietal is. None of that sweet, overripe, overworked vibe. Drink now or hold a year or two though don't think it will improve much. Average to good QPR sadly at $27 IMO.

Juicy red fruits, enjoyable but a bit one dimensional.

Red fruit, light to medium bodied; with a bit of spicy tannins.

Very tasty. Beautiful tanins - bigger tanins, which we prefer, but not at all over powering - paired with chocolate and berries.
