A nice dark wine that was ready to drink. Not over the top like a Aussie Shriaz. An integrated wine that tells you its syrah that had black stone fruit notes with a bit of mineral on the finish. A welcome change from the wines we had had up to that point.

Full bodied, dark garnet, rust color, did not have time to decant very long and it probally needed it b/c I did not get much from the nose. The coffee written about in other reviews was there, but not overwhelming, mainly just fruit and a little oak and some earthiness. The taste was pleasing with a nice integrated finish. We had bleu cheese dressing tonight and the wine paired really well. Kind of a peas and carrots thing. I found this wine enjoyable and would seek out again.

Hum. It really does have a coffee taste. I drank it with pizza and really enjoyed it. I drank another glass later without food and the coffee was very apparent and not pleasant. Would not buy again.

Clearing out the cellar... would've planned to decant but thought any remaining fruit would have blown off -- next time will decant and take the risk.
