  • Eleven years from the vintage, and finally this is approaching early maturity. There’s still a lot of peachy fruit, dressed with lime juice and a dash of salt. Mid palate picks up a touch of cream, then the acidity kicks in on the finish. Fruit and depth for many more years in this wine, but last bottle for me. Drink or hold if you’ve got them

  • I'm in total agreement with "Reislingfan" on the following note from a few months back: "First bottle of this in five years. It has shed some of it’s baby fat, but otherwise it is still very young. Grapefruit pith, seashell, salty air and pineapple ride a wave of back end acidity. It’s bracing, where earlier in its life the wine was a little too rich. Needs more time for development. Have a bottle five years from now." On the heels of 2010 and 2012 A J Adam kabinetts in recent days, I found this bottle to be in a more promising spot. Crisper, apparently a bit higher in acid, lighter colored, more like crisp water from a freshwater stream studded with all of the fruit elements that the note above so accurately captured. This score may be a bit high compared to my general grading curve, but I needed to emphasize my relative impression when compared to the handiwork of this other young star.

  • Good Kabi but not great. Needed air. First it was a little flabby. With time the acid increased and it became lighter on its feet. Missing the laserlike flying feeling of a truly great Kabi. Drink or hold

  • Very enjoyable riesling; the nose started off a bit heavy on the petrol notes, but with a bit of air this blew off some to reveal lime zest, green apple, and lots of wet stone. The palate has nice fresh acidity to balance the residual sugar and has lovely honeyed fruit and minerality. Quite tasty.
