It was a bit sweet. Mild petroleum taste was there at the beginning, but it blew off after some time. Good not ripe orchard fruit and lemon came after that.

Like the other 2017 german rieslings I've had recently, this strikes me as still being super primary. That said, it is delicious. Great balance and energy. Enjoyable but still on the upslope.

Lime zest all over the place! Crushed stone. Deep "spring water" scent which I know is a weird note but I get this from a lot of quality riesling. Sure, there is balance between acidity and sweetness but it is not very integrated. Sharp and astringent acidity playing its own game on one side and sugary sweetness in a completely different "place". Long ending. This is a complete killer that is not ready for consumtion. I'll wait five years or so until next bottle.

Clean and pure, well balanced, lovely acid bite, hint of sweetness - a very tasty wine that leaves you wanting more.
