Definitely hitting it stride now with beautiful red fruit, cedar, tobacco, and vanilla bean on the nose. Palate is seamless and nicely weighted now with strawberry, red cherry, cedar, tobacco, sandalwood and a touch of clove. Well integrated with silky tannin, and a bit of grip on the back end. Starting to remind me of the elegance of some of the Beringer State Lanes of the 80s with more precision and density.
Denis Malbec was just getting going in Napa when he lost his life in a car wreck. Sadly drinking Kapcsandy of this era makes me think of what could have been. Thank you Denis.

Dark Garnet throwing just a bit of sediment at the end of the bottle. Delicate bouquet of dark fruits - a bit linear but also some mild tobacco and cedar. Silky smooth tannins that linger for a minute. Popped and poured at dinner - might have benefited from a decant as it really got better in the glass. Showing well right now and very Bordeaux with finesse and elegance.

Beautiful cuvée from Kapscandy. 72% CS, 19% Merlot, and 9% Petit Verdot. Cherry, blackberry and a touch of oak. Elegant with a medium to long finish. Tasty great now but could go for another decade.

Nose: Pyrazines, Tobacco, tart berries and chocolate shavings. Palate: Harsh upon opening right now, but does mellow out with about 2 hours of air. Strawberry, Black currant, cedar, oak and bell pepper notes. Prominent green note to start. Finish: Settles into a dense herbal finish with good layers of dark fruit.
Tastes from Coravin. This needs time in the cellar right now, but time will tell what is there. This could take a bordelaise turn ( I hope) or remain somewhat awkward.
