  • Drinking very nicely, currants, cassis, blackberry, spice, cigar box, pencil lead, integrated tannins, nice finish

  • Decanted off sediment, followed for two hours.

Lovely mature nose primarily of earth with deep integrated but subtle fruit. Palate has retained good acidity, which in turn elevates the fruit to a powdery pink floral tone. Velvety and integrated tannins. There is structure from oak but essentially no tasting signs of it being present. The finish doesn’t last forever but it has enough power to stick around.

This is a lovely and elegant take on California Cabernet. Not overripe or over oaked. This is drinking very well now without signs of being tired.

Drink now or hold for a little while longer.

  • Lovely nose of camphor, black and blue berries with a beautiful perfume of violets and baking spices. The color was a gorgeous deep red with a medium body. Just a whiff of green peppers, tellicherry black pepper, mocha, and mint. I’m sad this is my last bottle because it is so well integrated and drinking so well al this time.

  • Ruby red. Beautiful fruity and floral nose. Decanted for 30 minutes, which was sufficient. Modest amount of sediment. This wine is a blockbuster. Silky smooth texture. A full, fruity burst of flavor with some secondary notes of moist earth and camphor. Black raspberries, plums, currants, baking spice and a hint of cola and toast. This is big without being overwhelming or heavy. Fantastic and still on the young side. Hard to postpone having another....
