Color was nicely pale and translucent. Aroma had the spot-on notes that make me love Pinot. And the taste out of the bottle had a surprising bit of spice to it.

Tasting at a LWS and meeting an old friend for the first time (WRW): This is still young and more in pieces parts at the moment. Deep ruby red in color. The nose has dark cherries, a bit of spice, some licorice. On the palate, good depth. Nice acidity. Dark cherry and cherry fruit. Nice finish. Give it a couple of years IMO.

Medium-dark ruby red in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of youthful, ripe fruit aromas of red cherries, strawberries & mulberries with overtones of floral & spice notes, herbs, minerals & vanilla notes in the background. Medium bodied with a good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, youthful, ripe fruit flavors of sweet red cherries, mulberries & tart cranberries with spices, minerals, cola, earthy & some vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present but has the structure and ripe fruit to continue developing with an additional year or two of further aging.

We were invited over to friends for dinner. Not wine geeks and would not appreciate something old. This was an easy choice. Satisfying. Good fruit. Nice cherry fruit. Some depth. Great match with a Mushroom cream soup.
