  • Decanted 30 min. Very dark purple color. Aromas of peppery black and blue fruits and fresh sawdust. Black cherry fruit, very creamy and mouthcoating. Black pepper and other spices, with a hint of oak, but nothing like the freshly-cut wood smell. Finish is all sour cherries, with a touch of overly-sweet cherry cough syrup. Overall, a very nice wine that could probably do well with another 3-4 years of cellaring.
