True to Morrison, this is the most cherry of K's syrahs. Really nice dark fruit on the nose with smoked meats, butter gravel and cocoa. Bit less ak on the palette.

Exceptional Walla Walla Syrah. Silky smooth and utterly seamless. Black raspberry, smoke, salami, black olives/tapenade, black pepper and violets on the nose. Mouthful of deliciousness, with firm but softening tannins (this at a decade old now). Medium bodied and precisely balanced. The finish is 1 minute+ that fades into an almost tart-like finale. Really fun wine.

My previous one of these was cooked but this was fine. Clear, medium purple with significant meniscus and high viscosity. Nose was wonderful, with plum, cherry, blueberry and black fruit. Complimented by slate, leather, tobacco and lighter oaks of vanilla, cocoa and baking spices. Great complex nose. Palate was more straightforward, with the fruit seemingly a bit lighter and the earthy flavors, while still present, seemed much more subdued. Med+ tannins were grippy. Body and acidity still med+, so this still has a ways to go (as opposed to my last bottle, both purchased at auction)

Not providing a number as this was clearly past peak, not strongly stewed but somewhat stewed. An auction purchase. Quite disappointing.
