There was a strong impression of sweetness in the wine, but it seemed like the wine had dropped sweetness over the years. It would be interesting to see where this went with a few more years in the bottle but it is drinking very well right now. If I had more I'd probably consume it now.

  Light gold in colour, with a lovely nose of botrytis, smoke, minerals, pears and pineapples. Well balanced on the palate, with fruit/acid doing a lovely dance on the tongue, and a nice texture. Orange, lime, pears, minerals and slight cherry and herbal notes too.
