All the other reviews really nail it. Great wine. I’m not sure I’d guess Zinfandel right off the bat, but it’s definitely Napa. Reminds me of La Jota Howell Mountain Merlot in style: lush fruit, lots of acidity, wild/austere tannins.

Deep purple color. Black cherries and strawberries with hints of floral and spice in the nose. Black cherries and black raspberries with mineral notes in the flavor. A rich, elegant zinfandel, very well balanced, great depth and structure, complex, medium to full bodied and a long rich flavorful finish. The Storybook Reserve is consistently one of our favorite zinfandels. Unfortunately, this was our last bottle of the 2012 though I wish I had another to drink in three or four more years just to taste the resulting wine.

Just as several previous notes, the Storybook Mountain Zinfandel Reserve is an unbelievable match with ratatouille and Italian sausage. A rich, elegant zinfandel with black cherries and strawberries in the nose and black cherries and black raspberries in the flavor. Very well balanced, medium to full bodied and long rich flavorful finish. One of our favorite zinfandels.

Black/blue/red fruits typical of Zin, but with a structure typical of great Pomerol.
If this wine was a movie, it would be ET. It's got a little bit of everything, and it moves flawlessly from one aspect to the next. It's thought provoking, but it's too pleasurable to allow you a moment to get cerebral. Only 1% of wines could be better than this, and most cost 10X as much.

Probably one of the best Zinfandel wines we had in the last 10 years. Very rich and complex. Sadly our last of the six we bought at the winery.
