Deep purple/ruby in the glass. Nose is muted. I used Coravin so I did not get the chance for a long decanting which I am sure would open it up. It did open in the glass after about 15 minutes and started giving off some currant and blackberry. The first taste was a burst of sweat tannins followed by rich fruit. Tannins still dominate especially in the finish but given more time I think this Napa Cabernet will be a real winner. Could imagine the score moving up dramatically when the Tannins truly soften.

This wine is excellent and is a great QPR. I honestly hope this wine continues to fly under the radar so the price doesn't skyrocket. In my opinion, far better than other California/Washington cabs in this price range such as Spottswoode, Dominus, and Quilceda Creek (not that those are bad, this is just a clear step up from those). This wine could go on for another 10-15 years but is drinking great right now.

Really excellent, marred only by a little angularity. Would love to try again in a few years.
