This was a beautiful bottle of wine! Ready to drink now but could also do well laying down for a few more years. We had it decant for a couple of hours and it opened up beautifully after each sip and swirl.

Some say that the 2003's have faded. If that's true, these have been the exception that proves the rule. Still benefits from 30+ minutes of air, then drinks nicely.

(Trefethen Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon HaLo) Trefethen’s flagship wine, named after Hailey and Loren, who grew up in the middle of the family’s Hillspring Vineyard in the Mayacamas foothills. Rocky, shallow soils and a site protected from fog and wind make this an ideal location for growing Cabernet Sauvignon. Aromas of blackberry and bay leaf flow through the wine, and subtle notes of cocoa, smoke, and earth dance in the background. Winery Spotlight: Trefethen Family Vineyards

This has mellowed out nicely. Oak is there but no longer intrusive. Still lacks a long finish but was perfect with steak.
