  • This has only improved with age. Very nice balanced wine. Needs air to open up.

  • This has improved considerably since my last tasting. Some barnyard on the nose when I opened the bottle and poured a glass but it dissipated to the background with air, making room for soft red fruits and spices. Gentle and quite silky on the palette, nice cherry fruit and just enough acidity to give it uplift and freshness. Soft tannins. Perhaps I would like a bit more complexity and some more depth in the mid palette and aftertaste but this is very enjoyable and I would buy again without a doubt.

  • Not sure what to think of this wine. Opened with some serious burnt tire and cactus aromas. They blew off a bit over time but never really stopped distracting from the fresh red and purple berry fruit. There’s a good hit of classy resinous vanilla oak but it’s ok. Fresh acid profile and low tannins. Just lacks a bit of complexity in a good way, and a bit of depth on the palate. Challenging.

  • Had an idea of feeling enamored with a great Spätburgunder tonight, so pnp this one in a big glass, really restrained the first hour, some red berry, delicate flow, nothing more to find, with some more slow ox this glass opens up, more red fruit, more persistence, but all this filligree, elegant mouthfeel and swallowing, showing more racy energy, ending notably long+, but again, this is an elegant wine not a drama queen, needs a lot more time to show all, maybe 3- 5 years up to a decade, 91-93(+) potential

  • Difficult. Initial attack on the nose says: sweetness. Lot's of very ripe fruit sweetness. But not on the palate. High acidity, sour cherries (krieken). Potential for the future. But there is a strange cardboard taste on the finish. All these things made this a nice wine but strange. Call it complex....
I like it to be honest!
