93+ pts

  • Young green straw, impressive for a Chabis of this age. A slight hint of vanilla, lots of green apples and lemon. Chalk and salt emerge after a while. Full bodied attack, chalk and salt, lemon and green apples. Very long and salt aftertaste. Impressive wine.

  • Light lime green colour. Butter, sea, lime on the nose. very delicate, good persistence and acidity. Became a bit reductive with air.

  • Super young greenish/yellow color. Still pretty young, but so beautiful with notes of lemon oil, lemon zest, some slatey/chalky mineral notes, a very subtle touch of sweet spices from the oak, but also amazing notes of smokey gunflint, also some riper fruit notes while it's opening up. Medium-full bodied, with excellent persistence and an almost oily mouthfeel. High acidity cutting through everything and providing superb tension and laser-like precision. Long finish. A superb Chablis Grand Cru from this excellent producer and great vintage. Excellent.
This still has a long life ahead.

  • Drinking just after Jobard's Meursault, which it totally eclipsed, I would probably have blinded this Chablis in Meursault in a nice vintage.

Buttery and greasy nose on wet stone.

Mouth with a creamy touch, concentrated but loose, round and fresh at the same time on a hint of vanilla with slightly spicy and stony aromas. It is balanced, elegant, with a juice that has good acidity but launches a tasty whole. Beautiful oscillating finish between peanut and wet stone.
