Lovely. Now fully integrated plum and sour cherry characters, but round, soft structure. Warming. Drinking very nicely, I think the fruit might begin to fade soon.

In a really good place right now. Leathery, with a good firm core of plum and blackberry fruit, a bit charry but well-knit. Relaxed, not tight, good balance of development and freshness. Some dried herbs and mint on the finish. Really pleasing.

Surprisingly unforthcoming nose of cherries and plum. But lots of character on the palate - plum, garrigue; a touch rugged and rustic bit very delicious.

Rustic and dense - opens with tight charry oak, pine needles and dried herbs, and after a while in the glass develops more open cherry fruit characters. Chunky acid and tannins - perfect with bold flavoured country cooking.

Not sure it was the right wine for the spicy chicken wings, but I often like mourvedre based wines with fried chicken (thanks for the idea, Hardy!), and there was some of that mixed in with the other chicken dishes at the party. This had a bit of heat and was pretty upfront about the fruit, but it did have the leathery notes of mourvedre that I usually like. Still, this estate has done better--and is usually a great value when they do.
