Tasting Group - White Truffle Dinner (Casa Aneff): There was such an amazing Chablis nose with crushed sea shells upfront and some hints of citrus. This wine had such a power finish and such amazing minerality. No signs of tiring out, this wine is drinking very well now, but still has quite a bit of life left to give. A contender for my WOTN.

yellow gold and smells of seashells, yellow / green fruits, and caramel. Mature chablis that has the richness of '90, but sufficient acidity to balance. very nice

Deeper green tinged lemon-gold than expected, but the nose is fresh as a daisy and the acidity is still brisk. Truffley, oyster shell notes mingle with hints of beeswax, flint and smoke. Head-spinning acidity greets the palate followed by saline notes of briny oysters, lemon juice and wildflower honey. This is what Chablis is all about!

Consistent notes with previous bottle. This one had the poorest fill of the lot yet, remarkably, smells brighter and exhibits fresher minerality.
