  • Some nice Burgundies (Chicago, IL): Served double blind. I thought this was something like a German pinot noir or a post-modern producer of Burgundy, given the extreme amount of crunchy red fruit here. A little stemmy and tart, without the body of a "proper" Burgundy. I did successfully end up guessing that this was from some sort of adjunct appellation.

  • Grenat color, very nice red fruit nose, extremely well balanced (straw)berry mouth, definitely fresher and more immediate than Cote de Nuits but 1er cru quality vinification. 1st time drinking a Coche red and quite impressed - especially noting the vintage. Have some Meursault Red from the same vintage and will be ordering in more reds in future years. The wife agrees
