  • A more subtle nose overall than the Auxey Duresses but more perfumed. Smooth in the mouth with a mid palate sweetness. I preferred the Auxey Duresses from the same vintage. Both require more time. 92++

  • What an effusive nose! Ripe cherries, wild berries and a touch of sous bois. On the palate, a light-to-mid-weight wine with moderate, fine-grained tannins and a long finish. The palate is certainly less ripe than the nose, but I consider this a good thing. The cherries on the palate have a bit of tartness to them, causing a mouthwatering sensation for the taster. A bit linear and languid for now, probably at best in 3-4 more years when it should open up and fill out.
