Very thin and lightweight for a Syrah. Not much to offer on the nose or tastes buds. I expected a better experience since I usually like the red wines from Mendocino, but this wine failed to deliver any intensity and was a total flop regarding flavors.

Smells like green beans. That earthy decomposition smell. Some stem inclusion in here. Pump the aromatics, adds a little backbone so can be light bodied like a Pinot.

Blackberry, violet, smoked meats, crushed rock. Medium-plus body & acidity. I liked this much more this time around. It still tastes obviously young and it seems like there’s a lot of potential that needs at least 2 years to come out.

Blackberry, blueberry, black pepper, iron, violets. Medium-plus body and tannins. Medium-high acidity. Quite fragrant. Medium finish. Probably could use some more time in the bottle or a longer decant. It fought the smoked pork chops I paired with it and beef is probably a better pairing at this point as I enjoyed it more without the food.

Seemed rather past it. Drink now if this was representative.
