Last of 6. Mid light gold. Nose of crunchy nut cornflakes (honey & nuts), with a little whisky in the finish. Palate is heavy going. Little acidity so it comes across as quite flat and fat. Didn't finish the bottle.

Mid lemon-straw. Bright, vivid aromas of fresh Forelle pear, yellow peach, starfruit and mango join salt and smoke in what is an engaging nose. Some dried lemon, cashew nut cream and kiwi fruit peek through in the background. A juicy entry with lifted floral mid-palate, a soft peach skin texture offset with fiery alcohol and medium acidity. There is a heaviness and viscosity to the body with notes of old ladies' perfume, hot pumice stones and peach pips. A creaminess flavoured with nut (sort of praline almost) seems to linger towards the finish, adding a further dimension. Very smart wine, long finish with a full-body showing well. Back to its original form after last times slightly subdued bottle

Mid straw. Apricot led fruit pits. Mid weight, a touch of wax, nice shape and reasonable line. ***1/2

I think at its peak. Caramel notes now present that replace the ripe, vivid fruit from earlier. Elegant and delicious.
