Overnight at Sydenham; 11/26/2022-11/27/2022: Decanted for a couple of hours, really showing beautifully. Good typicity, lovely texture. Great match for four-hour lamb shoulder.

This was excellent to outstanding. Shows generosity of the vintage, broad open weave tannins, and a juicy and sappy flow that keeps you coming back for more. This is in its drinking window. Agree with previous note that this needs 3-4 hours to open up.

Pale ruby from the appearance. Med+ intensity on the nose, rose pedal, tar, truffle, orange peel, pomegranate, wet leaves, mint, very fresh and delicate on the nose, developing. Dry, high acidity, high alcohol, med+ body, high tannins (structural and chewy), med+ to prounce intensity, very delicate notes, truffle, red cherry, meaty, red cherry, long finish. Overall, very good wine with potential for further ageing. Same as the last time we tasted wine, we like this traditional Barolo type very much.

A bit muted on day 1. More expressive on day 2 with roses, tar, cherry and some acetone. Dusty tannins. Wait 2-3 years.

In good shape but likely to get better over 3+ years. Needs ait to show at its best: 3, even 4, hours in the decanter.
