Popped and poured. Medium ruby red cherry on the nose. cherries and a mix of nutmeg and lemon thyme. Lovely balanced palate. Sadly the last of the vintage.

Decanted two hours before service. In the glass, pale rose-colored at the rim, shading gradually to medium ruby red at the core. On the nose, floral notes followed by crushed cherries and a mix of nutmeg and lemon thyme. On the palate, graceful yet structured, with plums, cherries, baking spice, and a tinge of salinity, and a moderately long finish that draws you back to the glass. This may be the longest I've ever let a Paul Lato age, and based on this performance, I'm wondering if I should let them go longer.

Light red color. Beautiful nose with cherry, wet wood, dried green herbs. Luscious mouthfeel. Well balanced with mineral tones, raspberry, pomegranate. Refreshing acidity even though it has a lot of fruit and 14.3 ABV. Mild integrated tannins. Long finish.

Enjoyable well made pinot. Use of sweet wood and luscious fruit delivers mouthwatering juice. Light in body and color abut big on the palate. Somewhat extracted but so Cali.

Its race is run. Some fruit, but all in all, I would favor drinking it five years ago.
