  • Again our experience mirrors EUROYUP. Of the two bottles we purchased, this one far surpassed the first. Not sure if this just needed a little more time, or what, but this was much more in line with expectations for a 2014 from a well respected producer. The wine showed much more structure and minerality (chalk/limestone) than the prior bottle. The fruit was not exuberant, but was sufficient; apple, lemon curd, a hint of white flowers. The acidity was good and finish sufficient. Drank like a decent village level wine, which is what I would expect from this bottle. I can't stress enough my distaste for the Nomacorc they're using on this (when everyone else in Burgundy uses DIAM???).

  • Nose: refined and classy oak. Taste: followed the nose, subtle fruit and mint. A bit creamy. Well integrated acidity. The best tasting of three of this wine. I guess that this wine is at its best now. 88-89.

  • I agree with EUROYUP; this was disappointing. Bottled under synthetic cork, so drink up.

  • Grand, promising nose, with good oak. The taste was a bit less good. Somehow like the jacket of this wine was to tall - if one can speak of this. There was quality, but still this was the second bottle of this 2014 that didn't really meet my expectations considering Ramonets prestige on the one hand and my experience with other white 2014's at the other. To be drunk within one year, I guess. 88(-89).

  • Fresh and vibrant nose of white peach and pear with a little flint. The palate is crunchy and energetic and there's excellent richness and intensity for its level. Length is deceptively long. Good stuff.
