This bottle was a forgotten item in my cellar. It was popped and poured with broiled lobster. Light yellow-gold, it shows a moderately intense nose of flowers and dust. Light-bodied on the palate, with good acidity, well-integrated alcohol (listed as 13%) and light citrus elements. The middle palate thins but the resurrected finish is crisp and of medium length. This is a wine which should have been consumed at an earlier date. It likewise was not the right choice to serve with lobster, which would have been better matched with a fuller-bodied Chardonnay. Drink now.

Open a bottle evening (chez Shannon and David): This was OK, but not good. I think at the mid $20s price, this underperforms slightly, at least right now. Has a little bitterness on the palate and seems very stern, angular and four-square. Finish is long, but alcohol rears it's ugly head slightly. Acid was fine, but this never came together. Disappointing for this producer for sure.

nice aroma of banana, butter, candied lemon. nice butter, banana, nuts on the palate. a little short on the finish but overall very pleasant.

Open that Bottle Night 2009 Austin (Austin, TX): Barely drinkable with a strange metallic taste on the finish. Hopefully not representative of all bottles of this wine from this producer.
