Really nice bottle of wine from an outstanding vintage. Black cherry, blackberry and cola on the palate. This was a bit darker, more complex and more interesting than some of the other Mt. Veeder Cabs I have tasted. Full bodied with ample tannins, this will last another 5 years. For me, this falls in the top tier with Mayacamas and Craig before Tesseron bought the Pym Rae Vineyard which supplied Craig with fruit. We first visited George Rubissow in 2009 and had a marvelous time in the vineyard and home. Drinking really nicely.

Reserve is much better but not a bad wine now could you some time in the bottle to further develop. Seems to still be trying to come together.
